Call of Duty: WWII More Information On Headquarters Revealed

Activision and Sledgehammer also confirmed in an article in the newest issue of Game Informer that there will be more than one way to clear each stage in the mode, which should give it some good replay value. However, it sounds like players will also have to spend some time as a Nazi as well. It's been almost a decade since the last World War II Call of Duty, fans feel worn out by the futuristic warfare and are ready to go back to the 1940s and kick some Nazi ass.

The video below shows off some of these scenes in this reveal trailer for "Call of Duty: WWII", coming in November. Instead, the player will need to restore health with health packs and first aid kits, which you will have to rely on your teammate for. Sledgehammer Games is targeting historical accuracy and a squad's story for the single-player campaign, a terrifying horror tale that lacks the camp and comedy of other recent entries for co-op zombies, and an all new socially-charged multiplayer experience featuring 48-player Headquarters space and War mode.

Call of Duty: WWII's take on Nazi Zombies will be much darker, and should feel more like an actual horror game than previous versions of the mode. Players get to impersonate a Nazi soldier, take part in the Allied campaign in France, make their way through a forest into the Rhineland and, yes, play through chaotic moments of the D-Day beach landings once again. Perhaps the most significant change will be the tone of Zombies in the game, trading the wisecracking protagonists for a more serious bunch of survivors, and dropping ridiculous settings like Zombies in Spaceland in favor of a more grounded approach.

Call of Duty: WWII will take us back to the series' roots later this year and fans couldn't be more excited. Players will still be mowing down hordes of groaning zombies, activating traps, buying door to unlock them, solving Easter Egg puzzles and buying guns off the wall, so the core gameplay in Call of Duty: WWII's Nazi Zombies mode sounds like it will remain mostly untouched, but with a nice RPG feel this time around.
