After a brief hiatus, floods have gripped Assam again affecting 11 lakh people in 19 of the state's 32 districts.
Guwahati: Nearly 3.55 lakh people in 15 districts have been affected badly by a fresh wave of floods in Assam. The Disaster Management Authority of Assam reportedly said that over 63 thousand people have taken refuge in 268 relief camps in the state as over 1,750 villages are trapped.
The worst affected district in upper Assam are Lakhimpur, Tinsukia and Dhemaji and in lower Assam, it is Chirang, Bongaigaon and Kokrajhar.

Flash floods and landslides have also affected large swathes of Namsai and West Siang districts of Arunachal Pradesh, washing away bridges and damaging roads. However, MeT department has issued warning of heavy rains.
