Samsung's next fitness device, Gear Sport, pops up in FCC filing

Samsung's next fitness watch is probably coming this month

Samsung's Gear S3/Gear Fit 2 combo, the Gear Sport, might be closer than we thought

The image for the device's FCC ID label shows that the smartwatch's name is the Samsung Gear Sport and that its model number is SM-R600.

Samsung is headed to IFA later this month, and it's starting to sound like we'll see some new smartwatches there. However, the Sport moniker suggests the device is meant to bridge the gap between a smartwatch and a fitness tracker. Today we've got word that the next Samsung wearable device - a ideal companion for the Galaxy Note 8, as it were - just passed through the FCC.

She said Tillerson and Mattis had a good relationship and that Tillerson had not spoken about US military capabilities. Burr has indicated that he is limiting his trips to the White House during the politically sensitive investigation.

As of now, only a limited information is available about Samsung's next wearable that comes with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support. Samsung has also requested that the documents regarding further details of the smart device be confidential.

If Samsung does release a sports-focused watch, it wouldn't be surprising to see it introduce other styles of the devices as well.

Samsung's direction to make a sports watch seems appropriate as Apple has already reinvented the image of its own smartwatch brand, adding new features and partnerships for assisting exercises and workouts.

The next Samsung event is all but guaranteed to be home to the Galaxy Note 8 - but that's not all.
