Mets reportedly trade second baseman Neil Walker to the Milwaukee Brewers

Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal is revealing the Mets have agreed to send second baseman Neil Walker over to the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday afternoon.

The Mets almost traded Walker to the Yankees before the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline, but the deal was nixed due to medical concerns, according to a source. The 31-year-old is hitting.264/.339/.442 with 10 home runs, but he's been limited to 73 games due to a hamstring injury. He is primarily a second baseman, though lately the Mets have been using him at first and third bases as well.

The stock witnessed 1.36% gains, -26.17% declines and -37.98% declines for the 1-month, 3-month and 6-month period, respectively. They now have $9.75 target price on the offshore drilling services provider's stock, up from their prior target price of $8.57.

Walker was almost traded to the Yankees on July 31, according to sources, but the deal crumbled upon the exchange of medical information. His salary this season is $17.2 million, of which the Brewers would appear to be responsible for about the remaining $4.7 million.

Overall though, Walker has actually had a decent second year in Queens, so the Brewers will be picking a very talented infielder.

In 1,022 career games, Walker has a.272 average with 126 home runs and 509 RBIs. NY acquired Walker from Pittsburgh in a trade for pitcher Jon Niese in December 2015.

As a full-time shortstop for the Brewers in 2016, Villar batted.285 with 19 homers and 63 RBIs while leading the league with 62 stolen bases.

Elliott's suspension is just the latest in a long list of Cowboys off-field woes during the summer. If we have to play with other running backs, we like the running backs on this team.
