Five killed in J&K gunfight

Earlier among the three militants killed in the encounter, the police had identified one militant as Adil Malik but after verification, the police said Malik was not among the killed. "The slain militants were identified as Irfan-ul-Haq resident of Maldara Zainapora and Umar Majeed Mir resident of Kulgam", the spokesman said and claimed that arms and ammunition was recovered from the encounter site.

Residents said a civilian home was destroyed after troops blasted it with explosives.
