Outkast's Big Boi gives puppy to 5-year-old girl paralyzed in shooting

Big Boi is now in the process of readying his Daddy Fat Saxxx Tour to support his most recent album Boomiverse, but he took some time to invite young Abriya to his studio and gifted her with a great present: a bulldog puppy, an animal that was bred at the rapper's Pitfall Kennels.

( In April, tragedy struck in Atlanta when a shooter opened fire on a bouncy house at a child's birthday party: 5-year-old Abriya Ellison was paralyzed in the incident and has been on the road to recovery ever since. The Atlanta native has made a decision to cover the girl's medical bills, and pay for her to have a wheelchair ramp, reports the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.

Big Boi told the station that the dog is "something therapeutic" for Abriya.
