Pope Francis expressed his closeness and assured his prayers, the day after the devastating natural disaster that affected Mexico City, the capital of Mexico and the surrounding areas on September 19, 2017.

"Yesterday, a bad natural disaster struck Mexico - I see there are many Mexicans among you today - resulting in numerous victims and material damage", the pope told the crowd in the square.
