An elderly man died and his wife was injured after robbers broke into their home and tied them up in Brooklyn Wednesday afternoon.

"Whoever did this deserves to be punished really hard", Waldiman's niece Karlene Grose said, according to the News.

Delroy, the son of the deceased man, 91-year-old Waldiman Thompson, said Ethlin keeps asking: "Where is he?" "They're church people. I would see them walking around going to the laundromat. When can I talk to my husband?"

Ethlin called the police around 3:30 p.m. from the couple's apartment at 160 Decatur Street and "stated that unknown people entered her apartment and tied her and her husband up", Deputy Chief Michael Kemper told reporters on the scene on Wednesday.
