A fisherman nearly died after a Dover Sole he had caught jumped down his throat.

The 28-year-old had been "joking around" when the six-inch (14cm) Dover sole wriggled out of his hand and jumped into his mouth, South Western Ambulance Service (SWAS) said.

Paramedics rushed to the pier where the group were fishing to find the man unconscious, not breathing and going into cardiac arrest.

Deputies say pregnant woman overdosed from heroin from Nygren, Gray
Deputies say Jennifer Skeen was 30 to 33 weeks pregnant when she died from a fentanyl overdose in June. Nygren had spent two years in state prison for heroin possession following a near-fatal overdose.

A man almost choked to death after a fish that he was playing with jumped up and got lodged in his throat.

When paramedics arrived at the scene at Boscombe pier in Dorset, they found the angler in a "desperate" situation and their initial attempts to get the man breathing again proved futile.

They praised the angler's friends who had performed CPR before the arrival of emergency crews at about 23:00 BST on 5 October.

Of course, you know what the Joint Ventures are, with the lOCs, like Chevron, that had to procure. He also accused Baru of reorganising the corporation without recourse to the Board of the NNPC.

Once inside the ambulance, paramedics said the man's condition was worsening despite artificial ventilation.

Ambulance worker Matt Harrison said: "It was clear that we needed to get the fish out or this patient was not going to survive the short journey to Royal Bournemouth Hospital". "I used a laryngoscope to fully extend the mouth and throat and saw what appeared like an altered colour of tissue in his throat". The fish broke free and became lodged in the man's throat.

"If I lost grip or a piece broke off and it slid further out of sight, then there was nothing more that we could have done to retrieve the obstruction", he told the Guardian. "Eventually after six attempts the fish came out in one piece and to our amazement it was a whole dover sole, measuring approximately 14cm in length".
