Alec Ogletree signs 4-year contract extension with Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams signed inside lineback Alec Ogletree to a four-year contract extension on Thursday night.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported the contract is worth $42 million with $30 million guaranteed.

Ogletree, a first-round pick of the then St. Louis Rams back in 2013, has started all 21 games since the start of last season. His new deal runs through the 2021 season. "His teammates voted him as a captain in back-to-back season for a reason - and it's not only because of his production, but his character and resiliency. We look forward to Alec helping our team emerge as a consistent victor for years to come".

Ogletree, now playing on the fifth and final year of his rookie contract, was originally drafted 30th overall by the Rams in 2013 and has totaled 443 tackles in 57 career games.
