Cop Reported Dead In Encounter With Suspected Supporters Of Gorkha Leader

A police personnel succumbed to his injuries after fierce clashes broke out between GJM supporters loyal to supremo Bimal Gurung and the state police in Darjeeling hills, officials said.

Unconfirmed reports state that a police contingent was ambushed at Limboo bustee near Burnesbeg Tea Garden area in a wooded area called Baghkhor on the road to Patleybash, a Morcha stronghold where Gurung resides.
