McLeod to miss four to six weeks

New Jersey Devils forward Michael McLeod had arthroscopic surgery Thursday to fix a torn meniscus in his left knee. With the surgery being performed by Dr. Jonathan Glashow, McLeod was ultimately forced to go under the knife on Thursday morning.

McLeod, 19, suffered the injury on September 25 in a preseason game against the New York Islanders. In 2016-17, McCleod registered 73 points for the Steelheads. "His expected recovery time is approximately 4-6 weeks".

McLeod was the Devils' first-round pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, and spent last season playing for the Mississauga Steelheads in the Ontario Hockey League.
