Evan Rachel Wood: This Is Why I Haven't Named My Rapists

'I'm afraid and I don't think that's my fault': Evan Rachel Wood explains why she cannot name 'powerful, entitled, rich, narcissistic white men' who raped her - including an ex-boyfriend

She posted a video on YouTube saying that she has not named her abusers, "not because I don't plan on saying these names eventually, but because to start that process is emotionally draining and financially draining, really an everything draining thing to do and to go through". It is a terrifying thing to have to go through, mainly because you are at risk of not being believed, your career being hurt, being drained of your finances - because it costs a lot of money to file a lawsuit and go to court with somebody.

The actress revealed previous year that she had been sexually assaulted on at least two occasions, once by an ex-boyfriend and once by a man she identified as a bar owner.

"She's a survivor; she's been abused for about 30 years. she's been knocked down so many times and she comes back even stronger", Wood told Forbes. "One. I'm one person against some very powerful people. Two".

"'Especially if all you have is your word against theirs and especially if these are very powerful people. Once again you're at the mercy of your abusers and you've kicked a hornet's nest and you have a target on your back". I'm still working through that'.

Elite Napa winery destroyed by fire although valley of vineyards spared
The Paradise Ridge Winery in Sonoma County posted that it was "heartbroken" to announce that the facility had burned. Most of the remaining fruit, he said, are thicker-skinned cabernet sauvignon grapes that won't be affected by smoke.

The "Wrestler" actress admitted it is hard to leave her abusers unnamed, but her fear of them and facing people, who wouldn't believe her is too much. "I'm not ashamed to say that I'm not ready to come forth with the names, because I'm here to identify a problem".

She revealed then that she had 'left awards shows cause I've watched them walk up on stage and accept a statue'. 'If the victim is not ready you can not fight that battle for them'.

Evan went on to encourage victims to name their attackers, and for these people to be ostracised.

"It was so normalised and it was talked about in such a way that you are warned about Weinstein - because most actresses are, this is just the truth", she said.

#SpyTapes: SCA dismisses appeal by Zuma, NPA
Zuma and the NPA have approached the SCA seeking leave to appeal the 2016 decision by the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria. The Supreme Court of Appeal found that the motivation behind the timing of serving the indictment would not affect prosecution.

The Golden Globe nominee first shared her experience in an email to a Rolling Stone reporter in 2016.

'I've been raped. By a significant other while we were together.

Because of her past trauma, Wood was able to relate to her "Westworld" character Dolores Abernathy.
