'Game of Thrones' cast don't get scripts, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau says

Best of luck to Game of Thrones fans who will be forced to sit through what sounds like the most wooden and poorly-acted season of this cursed show about dragons and incest: due to leaks, hackers and Benioff and Weiss's rock hard secrecy boner, the cast of Game of Thrones reportedly won't even be receiving scripts for its eighth season.

Speaking on the Scandinavian chat show "Skavlan", Coster-Waldau revealed the unprecedented measures now being implemented to plug any leaks of top-secret story details. "And then after a couple of years, they got paranoid because there was some leaks so we had to get them only digital, on a PDF file". After that, security tightened even further, and the cast had to get their scripts through verified email addresses, which included extra steps.

According to Coster-Waldau, security for this final "Game of Thrones" season is the tightest yet. Now we are going to do a scene, we will be told what's going to happen and then we roll. As the ultimate failsafe against hackers, leakers, spoilers, and those who wish to bring harm against this epic nerd soap opera, the actors will be fed their lines through a freaking earpiece and will be expected to deliver their dialogue that way, line by excruciating line. And Liam Cunningham (Davos) said that he "got [all the scripts]", even if he wasn't able to open them. So it's doubtful that the cast members will be fed the lines for the first time on set. Still, the point is taken: security is insane tight. Because when you're shooting something, people know.
