The girl has been identified as K. Sai Durga Mounika, a final year B. Tech student who hails from Dundigal.

An engineering student from Hyderabad committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence after posting on Instagram that she was "happy to be afraid" and would "quit this..." It is learnt that Mounika committed suicide after her mother admonished her over her excessive use of smart phones and spending time on social media. She was upset after the exchange. "Nowadays. I am afraid to be happy" was one of the sentences she wrote about her status, the police said. I don't know y ppl dnt want to look at me ven I'm happy in ma life (sic). "Every moment in my life is going so worst.I am just passing out through learning lessons from everything happening my life". She took her life at around 3 pm but her parents noticed the same only at 7.15 pm.

Not sharing the company's enthusiasm, many fans took to social media to blast Cahill in cashing in during a moment of national pride.

When her family members returned late in the evening, they rushed her to a nearby hospital, but she was declared brought dead. They informed the police at around 9 pm.Dundigal inspector Shankaraiah said "The girl had an argument with her mother before the incident".
