Pokkén Tournament DX Update Revealed; Adds Team Battles, Movement Recording, and More

Today developer Bandai Namco Studios and the Pokémon Company revealed a brand new update coming to the recently released fighting game. Originally, fans weren't a fan of the limited online options, though Nintendo promised to update that eventually.

First and foremost, you and your friends will soon be able to play Team Battles, by picking three different Pokémon each, and fighting against others online. Players form a team of their favorite Pokemon and duke it out with an opponent's team. The big-ticket item is Online Team Battles. The idea is simple-players choose three Pokemon and battle it out in a last-man standing type battle.

Official Groups in Group Match - Official groups from Pokkén Tournament DX will be open in the Group Match online battle mode. Soon after the update, the game will feature special Group Matches where players can fight to receive new special titles. Finally, the update introduces a new feature that allows you to record a Pokemon's movements in Free Training mode.

Enhanced Experience - Several other adjustments are in development which will help to improve gameplay.
