The chief minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal, who often make headlines due to the wrong reasons, had once again created a buzz on the internet by saying that nearly 90 % of IAS officers do not work that's why development is "stuck up at the Secretariat".

Kejriwal claimed that if Delhi had full statehood, his government would have regularised all the contractual employees within 24 hours and that the IAS officers were "obstructed files" of development works.

"Delhi Police is regularly motivating and encouraging residents to install various safety gear/equipment viz. auto alarm, steering wheel lock, gear lock, Global Positioning System tracker etc.in their vehicles and they are also being made aware to park their vehicle in the authorized parking sites only... 90 per cent of them (IAS officers) do not work and hold up the files".

"I sometimes feel that the development was stuck up at the Secretariat", he said. "I have asked the Labour department to sent the draft notification for LG's approval. If he obstructs it, they (contractual employees) will give him a befitting reply (khaat khadi kar denge)", Kejriwal quipped.
