Fans thought they would finally be getting their ideal ending when Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life came to Netflix a decade after the original series wrapped - but a major cliffhanger left many craving even more than they had when the series began. Alexis Bledel has said that she'd be open to it if the timing was right, and Scott Patterson would be down for a reunion once a year. When Amy Herman-Palladino signed a deal with Amazon, she hinted that more episodes of Gilmore Girls are actually potentially in the works.
And while the show's creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino, has since moved on to making The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel for Amazon, she revealed in a new interview that that doesn't mean she can't also make more GG episodes, should the stars align again. "Is everybody up-' because it has to have that feeling, it has to be like we're all in it to win it", Sherman-Palladino said. She said, "We carved out a little niche for ourselves with Amazon saying that if we ever want to do it, if the girls and us get together and we have a concept that works, then we have the freedom to do it".

McCarthy said Montgomery has "a chance" to face Baltimore. "You just wait for your opportunities". You should've heard the Soldier Field crowd, and our press box, erupt in total disbelief.
Regardless of what happens with new episodes, the creator says A Year In the Life was as good an experience for her as it was for viewers.
'Now it has become, "What can we do that is satisfying, and worth continuing, and gratifying to the people who care so much about it". "It'd have to be the right format, the right story, so-we have allowed for it".
