Rana Daggubati's fame and popularity did definitely rise to newer heights with the success of the Baahubali series and his portrayal of Bhallaladeva in the movie did win him a lot of praises. He is now shooting for "1945" (pre-Independent war drama - historical), where he plays a soldier in Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army. The second movie will be a continuation of Marthanda Varma where the story will be that of the successor of the king. The film has its script penned Robin Thirumala and will be produced by Seven Arts Mohan. It's interesting that the actor is no longer willing to play anything run-of-the-mill and is open to experiment with every new project.

Rana Daggubati is riding high with two hits this year with Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Nene Raju Nene Mantri.
