Focusing on just how cool your bum could be, the new Thermaltake X Comfort Air is the first gaming chair to sport built-in fans.
While Thermaltake has shared numerous specifications relating to the cooling system - including a control panel which allows adjustment up to the maximum 5,100 revolutions per minute (RPM) speed, a 21.3 cubic feet per minute (CFM) airflow, and a 7.1mmH2O static pressure, the company has remained silent on the noise levels users can expect - which, given the use of smaller 60mm fans, could be substantial if not muffled by the foam surrounds.

Following the completion of the transaction, the insider now owns 198,058 shares of the company's stock, valued at $6,660,690.54. In other news, insider Corey Ian Sanders sold 16,446 shares of the stock in a transaction dated Wednesday, September 6th.
The X Comfort Air also boasts numerous usual features found in pricey gaming chairs: 4D armrests, adjustable head and back support, dense foam padding, faux leather, breathable mesh, and a multi-function lockable tilt mechanism. According to Thermaltake, these four 60mm five-blade fans can reduce temperatures by 0.6°C to 1.5°C. The X COMFORT AIR is available in two colors: sleek black & the iconic red/black classic. "The use of high-quality components in the fan blade design provides a whopping 75,000-hour lifespan, which is double than that of industry standard and provides utmost performance and reliability", Thermaltake explains. The unique wind blocker frame has been specially designed to direct greater volumes of airflow towards the middle section of the blade, thereby creating a compression effect and block any air from escaping for maximum efficiency.
Moving the air are four 60 mm fans, which are controlled by a box mounted on the underside of the seat. More information on the X Comfort Air can be found here. It is covered with the use of a 75kg/m3 density foam padding that provides enhanced ergonomic support for the body and does not lose shape over the long term.
