Verna banned by the CBFC pending further appeal



Mahira Khan's upcoming film "Verna" seems to be in serious trouble as the censor board has not issued a certificate for the film. The film is expected to be reviewed by the full board today and the Verna team is hopeful for a decision in the film's favour.

Pakistan's Federal Censor Board has stopped Verna from being screened. There are reports that the film is likely to be banned.

Various tweets by internet users showed anger over the Central Board of Film Censors (CBFC) move to consider banning the film due to its mature content.
