Airbnb is globally rolling out split payments for group trips

James Beshara, Airbnb's director of group travel, told VentureBeat that split payments are "one of our most-requested features in recent years, and in our initial testing we've already had more than 80,000 groups successfully split payments".

Airbnb's ability to split payments is a result of the company acquiring social payments startup Tilt earlier this year, perhaps prompted by the fact that the feature has consistently been one of the top requested for the platform over the past year. Reservations can be split across 16 people. Either way, Airbnb's newest feature promises to eliminate the problem moving forward. Using the split payment feature, you can now send your fellow guests a link where they can provide payment details, make a payment for one or more friends, or add an email address that will direct Airbnb to send someone a notification asking for the money.

Turkish jets bomb PKK targets in northern Iraq
The military further said jets and drones that were involved in the air strikes returned safely back to the base. In its over three decade terror campaign against Turkey, more than 40,000 people have been killed.

On Christmas Day in 2016, Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky asked users what features they want most on Airbnb.

As part of the announcement, Airbnb ran a survey with the help of Pollfish and DKC Analytics speaking to 2000 adults in the USA between November 15 and November 18. From that sample, 43 percent of them have lost $1,000 or more in repayments from group trips.

Mercedes auto stolen without using a key in seconds in 'relay theft'
In a relay attack, one thief walks around a house holding one box, which tries to pick up the passive signal that the key emits. They accomplished this using two examples of a gadget known as a "relay box", which can override the car's security system.

When a trip organizer puts in a request to book a listing, the organizer's portion of the payment is charged on their credit card, bringing up a menu to share the booking with other members of the travel group.

Within the blog post, Airbnb mentions that this workflow applies to "listings that qualify for split payments" but didn't clarify what that means or what percentage of Airbnb listings qualify. We've reached out and will update the post when we hear back.

Redskins to watch in Thursday night clash with Cowboys
The Cowboys offense looks very bad right now, so the Redskins defense could have a second straight solid Thursday performance. NFC East games are always hard-fought battles, as seen in last week's close battle with the Giants.
