Afghanistan wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Shahzad has been banned for a year by the International Cricket Council (ICC) after he failed a drugs test. Shahzad had already been provisionally suspended after his urine sample was found to have a banned substance Clenbuterol.
Shahzad pleaded guilty to the violation and the ICC accepted he had "inadvertently ingested the substance as a contaminant of a weight loss product he was taking, Hydroxycut", the governing body said in a statement on its website.
