According to sources, the PPP co-chairman had a telephonic conversation with the PAT chief on Wednesday night and assured Qadri of extending his support.

Chairman Imran Khan said that he will join Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) whenever it comes out on the roads to protest against Model Town incident.

A delegation of PPPP - comprising of its President Zardari, Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah and central leader Qamar Zaman Kaira - will meet the leadership of PAT.

FOLLOWING a Lahore High Court (LHC) directive to make Justice Baqar Najafi's report - compiled after a judicial inquiry into the 2014 Model Town incident, the Punjab government on Tuesday evening released the report through the website of its public relations directorate.

In light of Model Town inquiry findings, the PAT chief claimed that the transfer of IG Balochistan to Punjab showed that federal government led by then PM Nawaz Sharif was also involved in the massacre. It also maintains that the operation planned and designed under the then Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah "could have easily been avoided" and that the "police officers actively participated in the massacre".
