Quentin Tarantino's F-king 'Star Trek' Movie Will Be Rated R

Quentin Tarantino's 'Star Trek' Will Be R-Rated: 'The Revenant's Mark L. Smith Frontrunner Scribe

Quentin Tarantino's Star Trek movie would reportedly be R-rated

As confirmed by a report from Deadline, Quentin Tarantino pitched an idea to Paramount Pictures and producer J.J. Abrams, who sparked to the pitch and quickly made this official.

Not only is Quentin Tarantino moving closer to directing a Star Trek film, if it happens it will go where no Star Trek film has gone before: with an R rating.

Rise of the Tomb Raider's VR chapter is now available on PC
Rise of the Tomb Raider's special VR chapter, Blood Ties , is available for both HTC Vive and Oculus Rift players now. If not, you'll have to purchase the Celebration Pack instead before you can play the VR chapter.

The report also says screenwriters Mark L. Smith (The Revenant), Lindsey Beer (the upcoming Kingkiller Chronicle), and Drew Pearce (Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation) are in the running to pen the script, with Smith as the apparent frontrunner.

Paramount owns the rights to the "Star Trek" movie franchise and Abrams has either produced or directed the last three movies in the series. His 1969-set Manson Murders drama that he's shooting next summer is #9, which would make Star Trek #10 if he indeed makes it.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities tomorrow
It aims to promote awareness regarding disability issues and the fundamental rights of persons with disabilities. General public may also take part.

Tarantino is still hoping to be the director since he's a huge Star Trek fan himself. Would he stick to his retirement plan? I have a hard time believing it, so my guess is A. Tarantino simply produces and/or gets a "Story By" credit and someone else directs this movie or B. Tarantino makes one more original movie after Trek. Phasers were set to stun, because nobody saw this coming; Tarantino isn't known for science-fiction, and he almost always works on his own original concepts, not established cinematic universes.

The Star Trek franchise has been overshadowed by Star Wars recently, but Paramount Pictures is determined to make the franchise a hit. The latest film, Star Trek Beyond, arrived in theaters a year ago, received generally positive reviews, and grossed $343.5 million at the worldwide box office.
