Rise of the Tomb Raider's special VR chapter, Blood Ties, is available for both HTC Vive and Oculus Rift players now.

Eurogamer's Christian Donlan relished the opportunity to return to Croft Manor when he explored Blood Ties previous year, so perhaps you will too!

The RATP transport authority temporarily changed the name of the Duroc station near the Invalides where Napoleon is buried to "DuRock Johnny".

We really liked Blood Ties when it first released with the PS4 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider, when we called it a, "well-written narrative experience that's surprisingly but also refreshingly light on the actual gameplay". It's a largely serene endeavour that tasks you with exploring the mansion, uncovering family secrets, and searching for evidence that will allow Lara to retain ownership of her childhood home.

All's well that ends well though, as the saying goes; one year later, Blood Ties on PC has received SteamVR support via a free update for owners of Rise of the Tomb Raider's 20 Year Celebration edition, DLC pack, or season pass.

Marvel rolled out a spotlight featurette for the upcoming shorts and feature film, giving fans a look at the diverse voicecast. The film and shorts were written by Mairghread Scott, with Alfred Gimeno serving as supervising director.

Atmospheric as it is pensive and thoughtful, Blood Ties works nicely in VR. Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration (which includes Blood Ties and the season pass) is now half-price at £19.99 on Steam. If not, you'll have to purchase the Celebration Pack instead before you can play the VR chapter.

A new update has been released today on PC for Rise of the Tomb Raider, the latest entry in the series released a while back on PC and consoles.
