Trump Aide Forcefully Escorted Out of CNN After Contentious Interview

White House aide Stephen Miller was escorted off the set of CNN's "State of the Union" on Sunday after host Jake Tapper told Miller he was wasting viewers' time and ended Miller's interview on the show, according to several reports. "There is one viewer that you care about right now and you're being obsequious, you're being a factotum in order to please him".

Miller slammed the book as "very poorly written fiction" and "a pile of trash through and through", and said Wolff was "a garbage author of a garbage book".

Bannon, Tapper reminded Miller, had criticized the Trump Tower meeting between Russians and campaign staff, saying, 'The chance that Don Jr. didn't walk these Jumos up to his father's office on the 26th floor is zero'. These issues were discussed during a heated interview on CNN with adviser Stephen Miller, much to the chagrin of the president on January 7.

Japanese astronaut anxious after growth spurt in space
Astronauts are tightly measured for their placement in the Soyuz capsules which return them to Earth. I've had physical measurements since I got to space, and, wow, I've grown by up to nine centimetres.

CNN is a familiar target for Trump and Miller, with each having publicly sparred with the network's star chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta.

Miller's comments were in line with Trump's tweet on Friday, which referred to Bannon "Sloppy Steve Bannon" and alleged that he "cried when he got fired and begged for his job".

On State of the Union, Miller continued to distance the administration from Bannon. "Why don't you just give me three minutes to tell the truth of the Donald Trump that I know".

Pence to start delayed Mideast trip this month
Then the VP will head to Jordan and meet with King Abdullah II before spending the latter two days in Israel. Pence will land in Israel as part of his first trip to the Middle East in this official capacity.

During the contentious interview, Miller offered largely combative responses and focused on presenting Trump as a "political genius", repeatedly refusing to answer questions until Tapper chose to cut him off and move to the next segment.

The combative back-and-forth between Miller and Tapper "was orchestrated for exactly what we saw", Axios' Jonathan Swan said.

Soon after Miller's interview with CNN aired on Sunday, Trump weighed in again on Twitter.

CNN confirmed to CBS News that Miller was escorted off the set following the interview. CNN and other networks were creating a "toxic environment", he claimed, while CNN's reporting about Trump's plans to ban travel from certain Muslim countries was "one of the fake news items in the book", part of the network's "anti-Trump, hysterical coverage" and its "spectacularly false reporting". 'Watch the hatred and unfairness of this CNN flunky!' But it sounds like he pleased that "one viewer" Tapper was talking about.
