In perhaps the biggest ever sign of a serious drinking problem, a man in Russian Federation rammed a stolen armored personnel carrier into a grocery store to steal a bottle of wine.
Russian TV channel Vesti said the suspect was "bored" so he took the vehicle from the driving school operated by DOSAAF, a volunteer group that cooperates with military forces in Russia.
The man stole the vehicle from a privately-run motorsport training ground, drove it through a forest and into Apatity, a small town just south of the Arctic circle, local news agency Hibinform said.
