Former football coach Barry Bennell admits seven child abuse charges

Bennell denies 48 sex abuse charges

The trial enters its fourth day today

Giving evidence at Liverpool Crown Court, the man said he was scouted by Mr Bennell, now known as Richard Jones, and abused at his home and at Butlins.

He alleged that sexual activity escalated and eventually led to Bennell raping him "about half a dozen times".

Bennell is due to appear on video-link for the trial as he needs to be frequently fed through a tube due to illness, the court was told.

The jury heard one complainant alleged he was abused in the changing rooms at Crewe Alexandra's ground following a youth team game when Bennell allegedly put his hand in his shorts.

But, he said, the game would keep going until his hands were "inside your shirt or inside your underpants".

"I just thought it was normal, this is what you have to do", said the complainant, who has the right to anonymity in the British justice system.

"That game was pretty much ongoing until, basically, I walked away from football", he told the court.

Apesar de tudo, um falhanço das negociações teria provavelmente consequências ainda piores, pelo que o incentivo é para um acordo. A chanceler alemã e os social-democratas alcançaram um "acordo de princípio" com vista à formação do novo governo.

The witness said he and other boys were invited to stay at Mr Bennell's home - above a video shop he owned - where the alleged abuse began.

Mr Unsworth said the abuse started in the auto with a game devised by Bennell called Follow Me - which the defendant is said to have engineered with other complainants.

The court was told young boys would be given free sports kit at Bennell's house and allowed to eat takeaway food.

"We didn't want to spoil our chances: "I want to make it, I want to be a footballer, I want to play for City", he told the court.

'The first time I will never forget it, ' he said.

"I was just crying, the pain". It felt like it was hours but it was probably two or three minutes.

The jury would have to decide, Mr Johnson added, whether they were listening to a group of men who, as Bennell alleges, had "jumped on the bandwagon" and maliciously made up stories.

According to Sky News, the jury was shown a television interview in which former footballer Andy Woodward spoke up about being abused.

Defending Mr Bennell, Eleanor Laws QC, questioned whether Mr Unsworth had discussed seeking financial compensation with a solicitor or other alleged victims.

He added: "You knew but you didn't say anything".

A transcript of a police interview with Mr Bennell in February previous year was read to the court, which included a denial that he had abused Mr Unsworth.

Bennell denied abusing Unsworth but admitted that he had stayed at his house and slept in his bed.

Unsworth said sexual contact with Bennell diminished as he hit puberty and ended when he quit football, because he had "had enough".
