Since cancelling the concert, the "Royals" singer has been called a "bigot" by USA comedian Roseanne Barr and targeted in a full-page advert in the Washington Post.

U.S. shock jock Howard Stern has unleashed a tirade of abuse at Lorde, labeling her a "s***head" over her cancellation of a concert in Israel last month.

Stern labelled the Kiwi singer a "s.head" and a one-hit-wonder in a foul-mouthed tirade earlier this month on his USA radio show.

Lorde announced in December past year she would be cancelling her June concert in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Lorde announced her plan to perform in Israel on December 18, and received public pressure to cancel the appearance, including blowback from fellow New Zealanders.

Stern, a Jewish radio host and media personality with links to the US Libertarian Party, took exception to her decision.

"F**k her, one f***ing hit song this girl is living off". I don't even know. "She was supposed to play in Israel", Stern said earlier this month on his Sirius XM Radio show.

"And by the way Lorde is going to play Russian Federation, she has no problem with Russian Federation, the only place in the world that she can't play is Israel, so what do you think is going on, what's the one thing about Israel that's different then all other places. I hope Lorde has a good time in Russian Federation". "She must do "Royal" for two hours", he said, getting the name of her biggest hit wrong.

"You know, there's Jews there, Lorde's got no problem going to Russian Federation".
