The warrant, filed by Los Angeles County prosecutors, says Barriss was charged in Kansas on December 29 with the felony of making a false alarm.
On Thursday, a hoax call was placed to the 911 center in Wichita, with a man saying he'd shot his father and was holding his mother, sister and brother hostage inside a house, authorities said. It is unclear if he has a lawyer.
The incident began around 6:18 p.m.
As of writing, it is being reported that the arrest warrant or potential charges against the suspect can not be released until 'he first appears in court'.

In reality, there was no hostage situation, and the caller had no connection to the Finch family.
The caller repeatedly gave authorities his alleged home address, leading Wichita police officers to the house.

The Wichita Eagle reported that Wichita Police Chief Gordon Ramsay vowed Tuesday for a "thorough review" of Finch's death. No one else was injured during the incident, police said. The tweets contain the address where Finch was shot and killed.
