Kentucky and wide receivers coach Lamar Thomas have parted ways, sources close to the program told SEC Country on Thursday evening.
Thomas' contract, which was set to expire in June, was not renewed after two seasons with the Cats.
Thomas was hired away by Kentucky from rival Louisville in February 2016. That contract was never extended.

Following the purchase, the insider now directly owns 199,014 shares of the company's stock, valued at $2,843,910.06. The stock exchanged hands with 348,775 numbers of shares compared to its average daily volume of 5.16M shares.
"I appreciate the contributions Lamar made to our program during the last two years", head coach Mark Stoops said in a release from UK.
The wide receiver position now open makes it two current spots to fill for Stoops.
The former Miami star wide receiver and six-year National Football League veteran was on UofL staff under bobby Petrino before joining UK. It was a bold and provocative move considering he had been Louisville's coach during the 2015 year.
