The BeiDou-3 navigation satellites were sent into space on the Long March-3B carrier rocket from Xichang Satellite Launch Centre, Sichuan Province, China. There are no reports of injuries due to the fall at this time, as the booster does not appear to have hit any buildings or people, according to the article.

According to a report from, one of four rocket boosters from a Long March 3B rocket the town of Xiangdu, reportedly about 435 miles (or around 700 kilometers) from the launch site.
