The Dolphins will send Jarvis Landry and his $16 million salary to the Cleveland Browns when the new league year begins.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Dolphins have emerged as the "front-runner" for free agent WR Albert Wilson.

Multiple sources are reporting that Miami is adding two speedy wideouts who are known to have good hands and high football IQs. Last year, Amendola caught 61 passes for 659 yards.

Wilson averaged 7.0 FanDuel points per game last season, with 42 catches (62 targets) for 554 yards and 3 touchdowns. Reserve safety Walt Aikens discussed re-signing with Miami and is likely to reach a deal, a person familiar with the negotiations said.

As expected, the Dolphins released veteran linebacker Lawrence Timmons. Landry, by comparison, had 112 catches a year ago alone, even though he averaged only 8.8 yards per catch.

Aikens has been with the Dolphins since his rookie season in 2014 and has become a key contributor on special teams.

Wilson, 25, had his best season in 2017. If they used the franchise tag on him and couldn't find a trading partner, Miami was going to be stuck either having a $16 million cap hold for this year on a slot receiver or facing a situation where they had to give Landry a massive extension.
