Jose Mourinho hits back at Frank de Boer over Marcus Rashford

"What he was saying was it was not good for Marcus Rashford to have a coach like me because the most important thing for me is to win".

He discovered that Rashford has actually featured more than any other player since Mourinho took over.

My ears pricked up at that line because I was convinced the boss had sold himself short. "Analysing a performance for me is more than number of goals or assists, and for me I'm really happy with Marcus". Marcus is no.1 and holds a clear lead over his team-mates.

"'I read something, some quote from the worst manager in the history of the Premier League - Frank De Boer", said Mourinho as he defended his record of giving Rashford 93 appearances in less than two seasons.

Shahid Kapoor to portray Manoj Kumar's role in Woh Kaun Thi remake?
On being asked if she is considering Shahid, Prerna dodged the question and said to Mid-Day, "It's too early to talk about the cast".

Bizarrely, among certain pundits, it was even claimed that Rashford should seek out a loan move to enhance his chance of representing England at this summer's FIFA World Cup in Russian Federation.

After Saturday's 2-1 victory over Liverpool in which Rashford scored United's goals, De Boer said it was a "pity" Mourinho was the 20-year-old's manager. Not bad that, is it?

"It's a pity that the manager is Mourinho because normally he's an English player, you want to give him time and he can then make mistakes", De Boer told BT Sport. Why the former Crystal Palace manager made that dig is a curious one, but Jose was well within his rights to reply.

Neither of those victorious sides were favourites for the crown and the Portuguese believes United are outsiders this time. "You want to see this player every week". Of course not but he is a player that we trust. Just last week, I wrote about the ever-improving Romelu Lukaku not receiving the credit and praise that he deserves.

Giants lose out on Andrew Norwell to Jaguars | What now?
Norwell was a mainstay at left guard since being inserted into the Panthers' starting lineup as an undrafted rookie in 2014. Their cap space increased after the weekend release of cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and punter Brad Wing.

"I try to give the best to the kid", said Mourinho. Sometimes you are in the team, sometimes you are not in the team.

"If you go to his numbers and how many matches he played with me last season and this season, maybe I am wrong, but I would say he is probably in the top five players with the most matches over two seasons".

"But my experiences of the past - I understand that's part of the game".

Mourinho also took aim at the club's fans after the Liverpool game as sections of United fans jeered midfielder Scott McTominay for trying to slow the game down and Mourinho for substituting Rashford with midfielder Marouane Fellaini.
