Family and friends found Glushkov - described as a "Russian exile" - late on Monday night. The cause of death is still unknown.
The 68-year-old Glushkov was a businessman in Russian Federation after the fall of Communism and had been a close associate of oligarch Boris Berezovsky, who was forced to flee Moscow after falling out with Vladimir Putin.
The news comes amid plummeting relations between Russian Federation and the United Kingdom following the use of a nerve agent, developed in Moscow, which has left a former spy and his daughter in a serious condition in hospital.

His death in Britain follows the attempted murder of former Russian double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter with a military-grade nerve agent the developed in the Soviet Union.
Russian Federation has denied any involvement in the attack, but the British government is crying foul.
