Splinter Cell 2018 Listed on Amazon

According to publication site GameRant and DSOG, it has been reported that a listing for a new Splinter Cell game has surfaced on Amazon.

The game is being named "Splinter Cell 2018" on Amazon, which likely hints at the possibility that Ubisoft might be planning an announcement at the upcoming major video game event this June.

The last Splinter Cell game was 2013's Blacklist, which featured Eric Johnson as protagonist Sam Fisher rather than series mainstay and fan favourite Michael Ironside.

Omerta trailer released: Rajkumar Rao is a terrorist in Hansal Mehta's movie
Without a doubt, Rajkummar has once again left us stunned by his phenomenal performance in this captivating trailer. Presented by Swiss Entertainment and Karma Media, and produced by Nahid Khan, the film is releasing on April 20.

The product was listed without a release date, platforms, or box art, so it's entirely possible it was a speculative placeholder listing by Amazon.

The listing, however, has been taken down now, and it could have been a mistake on Amazon's part. We have already seen the leak of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 way ahead of its launch by the publishers.

The Conjuring writers roped in to rework Die Hard 6 script
Now The Tracking Board reports that Chad and Carey Hayes ( The Conjuring ) have been brought on board to rewrite the script.

To recall, there have been previous reports that a new Splinter game is in the making. It has been two years now since the revelation was made and we can expect the new game to be announced by its publisher this year itself. If the listing ends up coming down, we've taken a screenshot for posterity. The listing was noticed by a few Reddit users but unfortunately, the listing is no longer up to be viewed so very few actually got a look at it otherwise. It's simply titled "Splinter Cell 2018", and that's basically it.

However, during a AMA past year Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot stated that Splinter Cell "is a brand we talk about a lot", and also that fans should "stay tuned for more".
