"Shoppers have been told to leave groceries in baskets in the aisle", one customer from Brisbane wrote on Twitter.

On social media, shoppers around Australia said they had been told to leave their trolleys and leave the store on Monday afternoon.
"The registers are now coming back online in our stores".
The issue began affecting all registers across the country shortly after 4pm, leaving consumers with trolleys full of shopping but no way to pay.
