WASHINGTON, D.C.: Fired former Federal Bureau of Investigation chief James Comey lashed out at Donald Trump in an interview with ABC broadcast on Sunday (Monday in Manila), calling him "morally unfit" to be president and describing him as a serial liar who will "stain everyone around him".
Comey confirmed that the investigation into possible Trump campaign collaboration with Russian Federation was sparked by adviser George Papadopoulos talking to an Australian diplomat, which the FBI learned about in late July, and "the FBI didn't get any information that's part of the so-called Steele dossier, as I understand it, until after that".
Comey also said Trump is "morally unfit to be president" and claimed there is "certainly some evidence of obstruction of justice" by Trump.
"Our president must embody respect and adhere to the values that are at the core of this country, the most important being truth". "Lot more flexibility there", Comey said, adding that "they're still required to tell the truth". He concludes that Trump "is not able to do that" and is "morally unfit to be president".
Irish beef to be allowed into China
Exports were valued at nearly €1 billion a year ago - while China is our second largest export market for dairy and pork, behind the UK.
But Comey, controversially, informed Congress two weeks before the election that the FBI was reopening the investigation, and Congress promptly told everyone else, arguably paving the way for Trump's upset victory.
Trump's mention on Monday of "Crooked Hillary"-his long-preferred sobriquet for Hillary Clinton-is no doubt a reference to the debate swirling around Comey's depiction in his book of how he handled the investigation into Clinton's email server". "I remember thinking, 'How could your wife think there's a 1 per cent chance you were with prostitutes peeing on each other in Moscow?' " he said, adding that his assessment was it's possible Trump is guilty of the accusation.
Mr Comey, fired by Mr Trump in May past year, was anxious the president may be open to blackmail by Russian Federation given claims he was present when prostitutes urinated on each other during a 2013 Moscow visit.
"I think impeaching and removing Donald Trump from office would let the American people off the hook and have something happen indirectly that I believe they're duty-bound to do directly", Comey said.
Comey told ABC News, in a highly anticipated interview, while he doesn't believe everything he hears about Trump, he does believe he should not be president of the United States.

Treinado para isso, o Urso entrou no estádio usando uma focinheira, junto a seu domador. Então, ele segurou a bola e a entregou ao árbitro.
Reuters and other news outlets have obtained copies of Mr Comey's book before its formal release.
While Comey shared his fear of the damage he says Trump is inflicting on the national consciousness, he expressed optimism that it's not permanent. I think he's morally unfit to be President. Comey said the interaction reminded him of his past work prosecuting mafia bosses, suggesting that everyone, including the intelligence agency, were all working as part of the same team - or in mafia terms - part of the family.
Comey, who ran the Federal Bureau of Investigation for nearly four years, portrays the president in his book as a liar, dumb and rude, and he compares elements of Trump's behavior to that of a Mafia boss. Clinton said that decision helped cost her the election. Is Donald Trump unfit to be president?
Trump then shifted his attention back to Comey in his next tweet, saying it's a lie that he asked Comey for "loyalty".
Trump and the Republicans have sought to stifle the impact of his book by accusing Comey of leaking classified materials and of corruptly handling the 2016 investigation into Clinton.
