The unidentified attacker fled on foot from Windham Hall, leaving Souza for dead. In a statement, BU spokesman Ryan Yarosh said that the stabbing does not appear to be a random act.
Souza had previously attended high school in NY and was a native of Brazil, where his family was notified, according to the university.
