Folau ready to walk away from Australian rugby over beliefs

Wallabies player Israel Folau offered to walk away from rugby union contact

Israel Folau Has Doubled Down On His Homophobic Comments While Insisting He's Not A Homophobe

Folau was heavily criticised for a post on Instagram two weeks ago in which he said God's plan for gay people was "HELL".

In his post, Folau went into extraordinary detail regarding "the meeting" with Rugby Australia chief executive Raelene Castle and NSW Waratahs general manager Andrew Hore.

Folau, who is off contract at the end of this season, rubbished claims that the inflammatory social media comments was created to ensure he got a release from RA so he could move back to rugby league. "I find peace in that", said Folau.

He also explained he "didn't agree with Bill Pulver taking a stance on the same sex marriage vote on behalf of the whole organisation".

Israel Folau, the Australia star, has revealed that he offered to immediately walk away from his reported $2m AUD (£1.86m) per year contract with Rugby Australia if it was felt that his religious views were damaging the sport.

Castle called Folau a "strong role model" after Monday's meeting.

O port para Switch é desenvolvido em conjunto com o Sports Interactive e Hardlight, o estúdio responsável por Sonic Dash e Sonic Jump. "Este é um marco importante para Football Manager ".

Despite Folau's criticism of Castle, the rugby chief said Tuesday that "we accept Israel's position" and that the playersvoice post "provided context behind his social media comment".

"During the meeting I told them it was never my intention to hurt anyone with the Instagram comment, but that I could never shy away from who I am, or what I believe".

Early this month, Folau refused to apologise for comments about gay people, but admitted he was "disrespectful". And did so to appease other people, which is an issue I need to discuss with her and others at Rugby Australia.

"There have been rugby offers from the UK, Europe and Japan that are way above anything I could earn in Australia".

"This is not about money or bargaining power or contracts".

"But I would like to explain to you what I believe in, how I arrived at these beliefs and why I will not compromise my faith in Jesus Christ, which is the cornerstone of every single thing in my life".

Saudi Arabia and Russian Federation are leading discussions on extending the OPEC/non-OPEC coalition's alliance. He said that "There is growing confidence that the declaration of cooperation will be extended beyond 2018".

His comments were described as "very disappointing" by Qantas airlines, a major sponsor of Rugby Australia, while worldwide referee Nigel Owens, who came out as gay in 2007, said such comments could contribute to young people taking their own lives.

"This could not be further from the truth".

"I love rugby union".

"I believe in inclusion".

"I do not know the person who asked the question, but that didn't matter".
