A 26-year-old man and a woman in her 30s were killed in separate attacks about ten miles apart in the capital last night.

An London Ambulance Service spokesman added: â€We were called to Head Street to reports of a stabbing.

The brutal attack comes just hours after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed several times in Limehouse.

Land and air ambulance crews treated him and he was taken to hospital in central London but died later in the evening. We await formal identification.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 11.27pm. A post-mortem will be scheduled in due course.

Officers are in the process of informing next of kin.
