NY reinstated third baseman Brandon Drury from the 10-day disabled list Monday but assigned him to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to leave the starting job in the bigs to the 23-year-old Andujar.

In his 20-day rehab assignment that ended Monday, Drury batted.315 with two home runs and seven RBIs in 67 plate appearances.

After all, it was a week ago that Drury admitted that his years-long issues with blurry vision were ongoing even though his situation had improved during his time away from the Yankees.

The Yankees seem to think rookie Miguel Andujar is the real deal.

Andujar, 23, has started the bulk of games at third base in Drury's absence, batting.282 with three home runs and 14 RBIs. For now at least Andujar has not lost the job.

The Yankees, who begin a two-game road interleague series against the Washington Nationals on Tuesday night, acquired Drury from the Arizona Diamondbacks early into spring training to be their starting third baseman. He is hitting.319 with three doubles, three homers and 12 RBIs. The next day he was put on the DL.
